PINEAPPLE AND GINGER DRINK

What do you do with skins and rinds from pineapple? I also threw them away and felt bad for it. Now I recycle them and make tea out of them. I was sad, I felt it was so much waste. Searching and digging enough I found recipes (link) that let me upcycle this waste and turn it into delicious and refreshing treats. The recipe I liked the most comes from Food52:

Pineapple peel is cool, use it!

Look at the recipes below:

-Dip all skins from the pineapple that you have peel and fill with water and cover in a pot, you can add cinnamon, lemon, ginger, a little sugar, better if it is brown. Take it to a boil, then turn off the heat and leave it to infuse and leave all the flavors in the water for a little while.

-Serve hot or cold, as you prefer, you can even add soy milk or vanilla and make it a refreshing smoothie, add a little pineapple in a blender for doing this.

-If you add lemon ice cream you can make a spectacular sorbet for your significant other or even a dessert if you add waffles.

-Add to a fruit salad and you will get a kick to its flavor. Impress your guests with this twist.
